An interesting third quarter of the 18th century brass lantern clock
George Thatcher, Cranbrook
Surmounted by the bell strap and bell, raised on four turned finials (frets lacking), over four tapered columns on ball feet, the signed 6.5 inch brass Roman dial with cruciform half hour markers, the centre engraved with foliate scrolls, beneath the pierced brass hand, the weight driven movement with anchor escapement and outside countwheel. 32cm (12.5in)
