The inverted bell top case with a central handle and four ball finials over circular and shaped glazed side apertures to a moulded plinth base on block feet, the 6.75 inch arched brass dial with large subsidiary dial for rise and fall regulation over a strike/silent lever, Roman and Arabic chapter ring, scroll spandrels and a matted centre with mock pendulum and date apertures, the movement with five knopped pillars, the verge escapement with rise and fall regulation set from the dial, rack striking on a bell, the backplate signed in an open reserve amid flowing foliate scrollwork 51cms (2oins) high
