A pair of Japanese Imari plates
Of lobed form, decorated with a vase of flowers to the centre of the plate, bordered by panels of birds, insects, foliage, and geometric patterns, in rich iron red, gilt, and cobalt blue colours, the underside to each decorated with further blue depictions of foliage and insects, 34cms diameter (2).
