The necklace designed as a fringe of coral drops alternating with gold and green enamel ivy leaves, suspended from a coiled gold collar, the pair of coral, gold and enamel earrings en suite, maker's marks 'RP', one coral drop on necklace chipped, necklace length 38.6cm, earring length 5.3cm, cased (2)

Footnotes

  • Robert Phillips (1810-1881) was one of England's foremost revivialist jewellers and had close links with both Giuliano and Castellani. His stand at the 1867 Paris Exhibition was noted for its jewels set with coral and in 1870, he was decorated by the King of Naples for his support of the coral trade.
