Cornelius Beavis Durham (British, 1809-1884)
A Lady, seated in an interior before a window, wearing white dress with lace trim and tiered lace sleeves, folded detailing at the bust, three sash ribbon bows to her bodice and a bow to each sleeve, a gold, diamond and sapphire ring on her second right finger, a black lace shawl draped around her arms, her dark parted and upswept hair dressed with a pink rose, a Chinese vase holding the same flower sits on a small table behind her.
Original ormolu frame with scrolling spandrels and ormolu slip.
