Frederick Buck (Irish, 1771-circa 1840)
An Officer of the 58th (Rutlandshire) Regiment of Foot, wearing red coatee with black facings, gold buttons, lace and epaulettes, white waistcoat and frilled chemise, black stock and tie, white cross belt worn over his right shoulder with oval belt plate of the 58th, his hair powdered.
Gold frame, the reverse with bright-cut border surrounding oval aperture, glazed to reveal a lock of hair set on an oval panel of ivory.
