Formed as a series of seven Rococo cartouches with scroll and foliate decoration, each with a central glazed locket compartment set with hair, the closed backs each with an engraved name or initials, length 18.50cm

    Lady Clementina Fleming was born in 1719. She was the daughter of John Fleming, 6th Earl of Wigton and Lady Mary Keith. In 1735, she married Charles Elphinstone, 10th Lord Elphinstone and together they had 12 children. She was the grandmother of Admiral Charles Elphinstone-Fleming and the great grandmother of Lady Clementina Hawarden (nee Elphinstone-Fleming). She died on 1 January 1799.
