A 25-Bore Flintlock Duelling Pistol

With rebrowned swamped octagonal sighted barrel signed on the top flat (partly illegible, touch-hole bushed), stamped with indistinct County Kilkenney registration mark, and engraved with a band of beadwork at the breech, silver fore-sight, engraved tang also with a band of beadwork and incorporating the back-sight, signed flat bevelled detented lock retained by two screws (replaced) and with safety-catch and ramped replacement steel-spring, figured half-stock (reduced from full, minor bruising and old repairs) with swelling flat-sided butt, iron trigger-guard (loose) with pineapple finial and engraved with a flower-head on the bow, horn fore-end cap, and horn-tipped ramrod, possibly original (some wear and pitting overall), London proof marks and Wogdon's barrelsmith's mark
