Signed Mortimer, London, Birmingham Silver Hallmarks For 1774, Silver Maker's Mark Of Charles Freeth
With two-stage turn-off cannon barrels each engraved with a band of foliage at the breech, border engraved actions each signed on a scroll amid rocailles and foliage on both sides, one side involving a martial trophy, border engraved ring-neck cocks, sliding trigger-guard safety-catches each engraved with a diamond-shaped panel on the bow, rounded figured butts inlaid with silver wire scrollwork and rocailles heightened with engraved silver flower-heads and pins, vacant silver escutcheons, and border engraved grotesque mask butt-caps, Tower private proof marks (2)
