2A Weill & Harburg lever wind cylinder musical box,
circa 1890,
The cylinder playing on three combs to provide drum, bells and castanets, (one bell of seven replaced), the ten airs are engraved on a brass tune indicator, bearing the legend 'Patent London W & H', ebonised interior with the underside of the lid bearing the Royal Coat of Arms transfer and the legend 'By Her Majestys Royal Letter Patent', rosewood case with domed lid, double line stringing plus crossbanding and ebonised edge, central cartouche of bird amid foliage inlaid to a black decorative background, a similar motif is repeated to the front of the case, all in unmarked condition, 26½ins. (68cm.), cylinder 16ins. (41cm.).
