Impressed mark PL35, No. 16, circa 1935,
with pepper-pot earpiece, exchange drawer (brown braid, converted).
Sunlight damage is one of the most destructive forces for bakelite. Take a look at the rear of this telephone, where once was deep jade green has now turned bright blue. Usually, faded green turns pale, then towards yellow over many years. This is one of the few examples where a strong blue hue has occurred overall on one plane.
