HUYSMANS (J.K.) Autograph letter signed, 1890
HUYSMANS (J.K.)
Autograph letter signed, to "Mon cher confrère", discussing proofs for his forthcoming novel, Là-bas: explaining that he has come to an arrangement with the publisher, Stock, who would rather not have the manuscript returned to Paris from Dijon, where it is with the printer Darantière, but instead have proofs of the whole book pulled straight away which can be used for serialization in L'Écho de Paris, and which Huysmans can correct at the same time; hoping that they can be returned to Darantière by 19 January, 2 pages, integral blank, short splits at folds repaired, very lightly browned, 8vo, Paris, 11 December 1890
Sold for £350 inc. premium
