The break arch hood raised over the trunk with long door flanked by chamfered reeded corners, raised on a plain plinth base, the signed 12 inch brass Roman and Arabic dial with foliate spandrels, the matted centre with subsidiary seconds dial and calendar aperture, the arch housing a rocking figure of Chronus within a border inscribed 'Tempes Fugit', the weight driven movement with anchor escapement, knopped pillars and rack strike on a bell. 220cm (86.5in)
