When we grew tired of The Sands at Blackpool
signed 'HELEN BRADLEY' and with fly insignia (lower right) and further signed, inscribed and dated 'When we grew tired of The Sands at/Blackpool Grandpa took us in the/wagonette to Lytham. There was a/beautiful green at Lytham to play on/so we often took Willie and annie/Murgatroyd with us, they brought/their kites which were bigger than/ours and they would sometimes let/George or anne hold them. On these visits/Mr Taylor (the Bank Manager) seemed to take/a fancy to Emily Maitland and would/hold her hand rather longer than he need/which caused Miss Carter (who wore Pink)/to become very cross and Emily's Mother/became cross also and insisted we all go/home and the year was 1907/Helen Layfield Bradley 1973' (on a label attached to the backboard)
