    A similar and larger oil called La Corniche II (1920) was exhibited alongside the present work at the 1947 exhibition (no.46). This comparative work had also been shown with the London Group in May 1920 (no.19) and, more recently, at the Imperial War Museum (see C.R.W. Nevinson, The Twentieth Century, Merrell Holberton, London, 1999, p.177, no.122).
