Daoguang seal mark and of the period
Painted in imitation of Ming 'heaping and piling' with bands of scrolling lotus and mixed flowers, divided by moulded horizontal ribs above a further band of foaming waves and pendent stiff lappets at the spreading foot, the shoulder with applied animal-mask fixed-ring handles, and the flaring neck with stylised leaves beneath a narrow band of waves at the mouth.
