The rectangular case with arched recessed moulded pediment above a rectangular painted ceramic dial with Roman cartouche numerals above a scene of a boy and a girl in classic costume, flanked by canted corners centred by a figural pilaster of Roman characters, the step moulded plinth centred by a pierced cartouche and raised on cast splayed feet, the twin-barrelled movement with pendulum striking on a bell, width 23cm, depth 16cm, height 28cm
