rectangular, decorated in polychrome and gilt, the outer covers decorated with scenes of festivities in a landscape including youths drinking wine, playing music and dancing within a border of scrolling floral interlace, the inner cover with a man dressed in robes decorated with ducks and holding a spear, 29.3 x 20 cm.; and a Qajar lacquer Mirror Case, Persia, mid-19th Century, rectangular, decorated in polychrome and gilt, the outer covers with medallions depicting youths drinking wine in a landscape, above and below two roundels with faces, surrounded by spandrels containing simurghs, and a band of scrolling floral interlace, the inner cover with a young couple drinking wine under a tree flowering with blossom, with date [AH] 1032
