A Violin ascribed to Guadagnini,
Labelled Jo. Bapt.Guadagnini, Cremonensis alumnus Antonio Stradivari, fecit Taurini 1778, Length of back 357mm (14 1/16in) flat arching, of a light golden brown colour, restoration, use and wear.

  • Offered with two photocopy certificates, both Milan, separate addresses, numbered 1147, one from Andrea Bisiach signed and dated 16 Giugno 1963 stating the above..."e realmente uno strumento della famiglia dei Gaudagnini, the other from Giacomo & Leandro Bisiach stating..."e uno strumento costruito da mano maestra, alla fine del 1700 e sullo stile di G.B.Guadagnini. Anche l'ottima voce da concerto garantisce al violinista la suddetta provenienza."

    In addition to some other documents, three black and white postcard photographs, each signed and dated Andrea Bisiach, Milano 16 Giugno 1963, stating; "Il Violino di cui alla presente foto e indubbiamente opera uscita dalla Bottega di G.B.Guadagnini di Torino verso la fine del settecento."
