Footnotes

  • Corporal F.T.Holmes was born at Leamington, Warwickshire. He enlisted at Woolwich, Kent (Swanley). He died of pneumonia on 7th November 1918 and is buried in the Cairo War Memorial Cemetry. He was formerly 42 Royal West Kent Regiment.

    The lot comes with a variety of original paperwork, paybooks, letters etc as well as a Boer War Gift Tin, with some chocolate remaining.
