The first depicting the Baptism of Achilles, the alternating gilt and claret concentric border encircling the central scene, the edge detailed by a brown ground enriched by scrolling florets within dotted gilt dusting and detailed with gilt and purple rosettes at cardinal points, 24.5cm diam, underglazed blue shield mark and title, the second plate painted with a scene of three maenads before a tree trunk, one holding a thyrsus covered by ivy, at their feet musical instruments lie on the ground, set amidst an arcadian landscape, the rim heavily detailed with gilt tooled and raised classical motifs, 24.5cm diam, underglazed blue shield mark and title.
