Footnotes

  • It is probable that the presentation copies of Mrs. Tittlemouse and Mr. Tod were sent to Sir Arthur Quiller-Couch, father of Foy Felicia whose ownership inscription is in the first edition of Jemima Puddle-Duck. The family lived at Fowey, and the Jeremy Fisher has the bookseller's label of Joseph Pollard, from nearby Truro.
