A Queen Anne walnut wing armchair
retaining it's original upholstery, and with an associated loose cover
The shaped toprail above a rectangular padded back with shaped sides above outscrolled padded arms and rectangular seat, with loose squab, on cabriole scroll carved legs and pad feet, the underlying upholstery of sea blue linen, with traces of a scrolling pattern, bound in blue and white linen braid, circa 1720, (the loose cover of 1710's linen with coloured wool embroidery in mainly chain stitches designed with isolated motifs of birds, fruit and flowers and re-made to fit the chair, probably cut from a curtain, see lot 26 which has a similar cover).
