A carved mahogany hall bench
in the manner of C.H.Tatham
The scrolling toprail above a pierced bar back with central rectangular panel carved with leafy scrolls, above downscrolled arms, a rectangular hinged seat enclosing three sections of trussed scroll acanthus carved legs and lion paw feet, elements early 19th century and later, probably adapted from a bergere, 167cm wide, (65.5" wide).
