Footnotes

  • This watch was purchased by the current owners Uncle in 1977. It's interesting to note that as well as retaining the rare cork box of the period, it also has period brochures and hand annotated price lists from his Uncle showing the various models he was interested in.

The Nautilus collection was introduced in 1976 and now it has established itself as a classic elegant sports watch. The original reference, 3700/1 like this present example, is one of the most sought-after timepieces at auction.
