A cricket bat hand signed by the Australian and English cricket teams of 1929/1934
This bat was presented to Sydney Hospital two days after the 5th test on 16th March 1929 for a charity auction. Plaque attached to bat to reverse engraved 'Presented to Sydney Hospital by Alan Kippax esq & purchased at auction by Charlton Morton esq - 18/3/29'. The bat was originally signed by the 1929 ashes teams and then again five years later by the 1934 team. Signatures include Jack Hobbs and Hedley Verity. Complete with light green velvet storage cloth.

  • Alan Falconer Kippax was a prolific batsman for New South Wales. He took part in 22 test matches for Australia between 1924 and 1934, 13 of them against England, hitting 1192 runs, average 36.12.
