A DF cricket bat used by Ian Botham at Headingley on the fourth day in July 1981, Botham scored 149 in a partnership with Dilley and then Willis with England need needing 92 to make the Australians bat again, odds of 500 - 1 were given on this happening, Botham and Dilley added 117 in 80 minutes, Dilley cracked 9 four's in his 56, Botham's first 50 took him 112 minutes and he went from 39 to 103 in only 17 strokes - a six, 14 fours and 2 singles, his partnership of 67 with Chris Old took 53 minutes and Bob Willis contributed 2 in a last wicket partnership of 37. Also with the lot is a stump cut in two hand signed to the centre by circa 15 from the same series. The lot includes a letter of authenticity from the vendor.
