A Lady, wearing dark red dress with white lace collar and slip, a long pearl necklace suspended from her neck and fastened at her corsage with a large blue ribbon bow supporting a portrait miniature within a diamond frame, a fine black choker tied at the front of her neck, strands of pearls in her powdered wig.
Signed on the obverse and dated HH/ 1786, gold frame, the reverse glazed to reveal strands of hair tied with split seed pearls and gilt-wire on ivory.
