A rare pair of famille rose 'melon' teapots and covers
Iron-red Qianlong seal marks
Each moulded with five lobes in a naturalistic form, the curving spout and handle enamelled en grisaille to simulate woodgrain, the handle turning into a shallow-relief spray coiling around each side of the body and applied with pink and white plum blossom sprays, the bodies and domed covers all under a white-enamel ground delicately incised with dense feathery scroll. 17cm (6 7/8in) wide (4).
