An early 19th century oak longcase clock
The circular painted dial with subsidiary seconds dial and arched date aperture, indistinctly inscribed 'Banister, Lichfield', eight day striking movement, monogrammed to back plate, lacking bell, in a plain hood with turned mahogany pillars and mouldings, blind fretwork frieze and dentil moulded cornice, over a shaped top long trunk door flanked by quarter inset columns, panel base on a later plinth, 217cm high.
