Footnotes

  • John Willis Good was a talented English animalier sculptor who can be compared to the French masters of the animalier school. During his short but prolific career he mainly concentrated on studies of hunting scenes, dogs and racehorses producing them in bronze and terracotta. He exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1870 to 1878 and Elkington & Co cast many of his pieces.
