Two Roman silver rings
Circa 3rd Century A.D.
One engraved with Mercury holding the caduceus and money bag, a Greek inscription around the edge, the bezel flanked by two pinnacles, finger size 'A', 22mm diam; the other with angular shoulders, the circular bezel inscribed with two bands of Greek letters, finger size 'I', 22mm diam; a Sasanian green stone intaglio engraved with a couchant winged quadruped, with a Pahlavi inscription above, circa 4th-6th Century A.D., set in a later silver ring, finger size 'O', 24mm diam; and two bronze rings one with a griffin in sunken relief, Greek or Etruscan, circa 5th-4th Century B.C,; the other incised with a ship, Roman Period, finger size 'I', 20mm diam (5)
