Chen Yan Ning has traveled extensively and has been a guest artist in Australia, Great Britain, France and the United States, presenting one-man exhibitions in all of these countries. His work has been acquired or commissioned by major museums including, the Chinese National Gallery, the Museum of Chinese History and the West Australian National Gallery. His portraiture commissions are well known with sitters including both Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip. The Scottish National Protrait Museum commissioned a portrait of Scottish buisness woman Ena Baxter in 1999.
