Signed on the obverse JI, gilt-metal frame, the reverse glazed to reveal cream fabric; together with a portrait of a Gentleman, wearing black suit, white shirt and black tie, signed on the obverse and dated H. Ida Hartley./ 1903, unframed; a portrait of a Young Girl, wearing white dress with lace collar, gilt-metal frame; a Company School portrait of a Gentleman, wearing open white kaftan, Kashmir shawl, gold torque, emerald pendant earring and orange cap, probably Northern India, mid-19th century, unframed.
