Two pearlware figures of boys, circa 1810-20
The first emblematic of winter, modelled standing with his arms folded, his hands inside his shirt, painted in grey and black tones and set on a domed grassy base, 18cms high (some small losses), the second a piper, modelled standing on a grassy mound with flowering branches, he wears a puce jacket and striped waistcoat with yellow breeches, set on a square marbled base, 24cms high (minor restoration), together with a Staffordshire figure of a monk, circa 1810, possibly Enoch Wood, modelled standing and wearing a plain habit, he holds a book and a cup, painted in colours and set on a canted oblong base, 12cms high, and a small pearlware figure of a classical boy, modelled reclining on a rock before a bocage, 8cms high (4).
