Of 'ordinary' type, he holds a foaming jug on his left knee, attired in a black tricorn, blue jacket, raspberry breeches and striped hoes, set on a sponged canted base, 26cm, together with a Staffordshire Toby jug, circa 1850, of 'ordinary' type, in the same pose and attired in a black tricorn, brown jacket, spotted waistcoat and yellow breeches, 25.5cm (some flaking to base and shoes).
