the pagoda with scrolled fret to the front, over the stop fluted Doric pillars and glazed door, the trunk with concave throat moulding over the breakarch door, flanked by stop fluted quarter columns with gilt metal mounts, over the plinth base with canted panel, the signed brass and silvered breakarch 11.5 inch Roman and Arabic dial with foliate spandrels, subsidiary seconds and calendar aperture to the silvered and foliate engraved centre and strike/silent dial to the arch, the five pillar weight driven movement with anchor escapement and rack strike on a bell, 232cm (7ft 7.5in).
