Footnotes

  • This impressive pitcher was acquired in New York. The art of silver-overlay on Moorcroft items was widely executed once they were exported to North America. At time of purchase, it was reported to have been acquired from the Tiffany family in the 1940's, although no substantial evidence confirms this.
