1907 $10 Wire Rim MS62 PCGS
A handsome example of this rare experimental striking. The surfaces are bright and highly lustrous with much of the flash coming from the innumerable die polishing marks in the fields. There are a few microscopic rim abrasions from careless handling. From looking at this piece, it is difficult to believe that this pattern was considered a failure, as its wire rim was considered a nuisance that prevented the coins from stacking properly. Housed in a first generation PCGS holder. (PCGS 8850) Choice Uncirculated
