[6], xxiv, 106, [2 index] pp. With 32 folding engraved maps and plans, including frontispiece hand-colored in outline. 4to (245 x 202 mm). Period half calf over speckled boards. Minor toning, light offsetting to maps, spine and extremities rubbed.

FIRST EDITION of this important history and collection of charts relating to Spanish America. The charts are based on drawings captured from the Spaniards in the recently-ended war and concentrate on ports and seaboards likely to be of the greatest interest to opportunistic British merchants. Includes maps of Pensacola, Saint Augustine, Puerto Rico, and several of Cuba including Guantanimo Bay. Palau 123372; Phillips 3941; Sabin 35959.
