Several brief closed tears at folds, creases in top left corner, paste action to section of map which joins covers, cloth covers fine.

THE BEGINNING OF THE EMIGRANT TRAIL TO CALIFORNIA AND OREGON. A map showing the eastern portion of Nebraska including designated townships to 97.5^o. Apparently the map was issued for J.B. Snow as "J.B. Snow / Land Agent / Otoe, Nebraska" is listed below the publication information and the "Great Emigrant Rout [sic] to California and Oregon via Ft. Kearney" begins in Otoe City, about 8 miles south of Nebraska City, and a town which no longer exists. Streeter sale 2003.
