Chinesco Kneeling Female Figure, Type E,
Protoclassic, ca. 100 B.C. - 250 A.D.
height 14 1/2in (37cm)
resting on the left leg tucked under her and holding a spouted jar on her back with a proportionally long left arm, the right arm resting on her raised knee, her head slightly cocked with quiet and reserved expression with eyes slightly open and lower lip pulled in, scarified cheeks and traces of red and black paint decoration, finely incised coiffure from the forehead over the top and down the back ending at the neck, diminutive and slightly aged breasts above lines demarcating rolls of skin.
