Protoclassic, ca. 100 B.C. - A.D. 250
heights 17 and 18in (43 and 46cm)
each seated in a lively pose with expressive faces, the male seated cross-legged and playing a turtle shell carapace, the female seated with her legs tucked underneath her holding a bowl in her right hand, each wearing a headdress, nose and earrings; each decorated with designs in white, red and black pigments.
