atamira, finely carved from a singular block of tamanu wood, the seat of arched rectangular design with natural defects (knots) on the surface, rising from four curved cylindrical legs with flat, spade-shaped feet.
Provenance:
Mr. Crowley, Postmaster General of Rarotonga, 1930's, gifted to him by a high-ranking ariiki (chief).
