A carved agate, cultured pearl, sapphire and diamond pendant, Tom Scott for Andrew Grima, 1991
the oval carved agate panel, exposing layers of light blue, gray and black, within a white gold bezel, suspended from a line of baroque cultured pearls accentuated by circular-cut sapphires and a single round brilliant-cut diamond, completed by interchangeable cream or beige leather chokers; pendant signed Grima, with maker's mark TES for Tom Scott, agate with maker's mark BM for Bernd Munsteiner; with London hallmarks; collars each signed Grima; pendant mounted in eighteen karat white gold; collar lengths: 17in.

    Note.
    This pendant was the first in a series which featured carved agate. The agate was sourced from Bernd Munsteiner, who was known for his interesting "fantasy-cuts" of gemstones. Tom Scott designed for Grima several carved agate pendants of similar motif.
