- Released by Breitling in 1952 the 806 was the first of the Navitimer models. The bi-directional slide rule bezel, described as a "navigation computer", was an instant hit with pilots around the world as it gives the wearer means to handle all calculations necessary to follow a flight plan. Nearly 60 years after its creation, the Navitimer is still being manufactured today. The cult status of the 806 has made it one of the most famous and identifiable watches to have come out of the 20th century.
This watch is being sold by the original owner and has never been offered at auction before.
