- As the Turn-O-Graph was released by Rolex in 1953 this watch would have been amongst the first examples to leave the factory, and is one of only a few thousand of the 6202 reference ever made.
The design of the rotating bezel allows the wearer to measure elapsed time making it the ideal accessory for any international jet-setter to calculate alternative time zones. The production life of the Turn-O-Graph however was short lived, the following year Rolex began developing the GMT Master which soon superseded and resulted in the line being phased out in the early 1960's.
Rolex have recently re-mastered the Turn-O-Graph and released it in a new modernised guise which bares little resemblance to its vintage ancestry. These examples have lost their coloured bezel in favor of fluted metal and feature a date aperture at three o'clock as standard.
