Persian manuscripts on paper, 39 and 44 leaves respectively, 6 lines to the page written in elegant nasta'liq script in black ink with interlinear Urdu translation in red ink, margins ruled in blue and gold, two illuminated headpieces in gold, some folios detached, some dampstaining, contemporary brown morocco with stamped gilt paper covers decorated with floral motifs, doublures of marbled paper, worn with loss of some areas of stamped gilt paper, three cataloguing entries on separate cards written in English by the Assistant Keeper of the Department of Oriental PB and MSS at the India Office, Whitehall, S.W., two flyleaves of both manuscripts with English inscriptions J.J.H.
