An unusual Staffordshire nesting bird group
circa 1820
Modelled as a tall flowering tree, four large birds perched on the branches among the bocage, a single bird's nest above, figures of a young man and woman standing wither side of the tree both feeding a small bird, fledglings in his top hat placed on the grassy mound set above a red square base, 26cm high (minor restoration to bocage and bird's tails)
