A good Limehouse pickle dish
circa 1746-48
Moulded in the form of a scallop shell, painted in inky blue with a house on an island flanked by rockwork and wispy plants, dark mountain peaks in the distance, the border with three Chinese feather and ribbon motifs, a shell and two leaves below the scene, the reverse with two trailing plants, 10.9cm high
